BIOGRAPHY - DAVE SAMDEO Master Dave Samdeo – 7th Degree Black Belt in Kalari -2nd Dan Black Belt in Taekwondo
DAVE SAMDEO is a Trinidadian-born & based Martial Artist, who has dedicated his life efforts to the development of the Martial Arts fraternity. Through the creation and introduction of the style KALARI & KUNG-FU, and the addition of KALARI & KUNG-FU SCHOOL OF MARTIAL ARTS, founded on 11th July, 1976 by his father GRANDMASTER SAMDEO RAMPERSAD (deceased), he was able to catapult himself further into the Martial Arts arena, joining other masters on a global range. Grandmaster Samdeo Rampersad was mentored in the art of Taekwondo by Grandmaster Joon Rhee, which also led him to learn and teach the secret arts of many other styles, such as; Shotokan Karate, Kickboxing, Savate, Ketsugo & parts of The KungFu Mantis Style. Master Dave Samdeo grasped the opportunity to be mentored on many of the styles from his father at the tender age of four (4). As such, he has been in the practice of Martial Arts for the past 30 and has had many achievements thus far. He currently possesses a 7th degree black belt in Kalari and holds the title of 2nd Dan in the art of Taekwondo. He operates amongst five (5) dojos within Trinidad and Tobago, and has huge plans for expansions in the near future. Master Samdeo has been teaching karate for the past 25 years and has also added kickboxing as a major part of his curriculum. This has afforded him sufficient experience to effectively lead the upcoming generation of martial artists both nationally and internationally. His Taekwondo instructor is Sabum Ryan Rampair, of who is well respected in his area of expertise with the respective art. Master Samdeo holds prestige recognition for competing at ISKA, Action Magazine (Team Torres), World Karate Union & Pan-American Internationals. He was inducted into three (3) Halls of Fame, namely; Action Magazine, Legends Hall of Fame & The World Karate Union. Master Dave Samdeo has an ongoing mission to continue to assist in the development of Martial Arts by giving back to the industry as much as he has been given since he embarked on his journey at four (4). His philosophy in life is simple, “To whom much is given, much is required”, and has been something he lives by every day.
